1/2 cup water
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
A simple chocolate syrup for milk.
Put your ingredients in a saucepan on low. Simmer and whisk until everything comes together. Bring just to a low boil and cook for five minutes without stirring. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla. Allow to cool and store in a jar in the refrigerator.
*Boiling sugar can boil up out if a pan very quickly. Use a pan bigger than you think you need and don’t walk away.
